Sparkling Skylands is the final story area in Pokémon Pokopia and the most ambitious. Inspired by Celadon and Saffron City, this floating cityscape of interconnected islands is where you learn to glide, rebuild a massive four-floor skyscraper, and ultimately reach the end credits. This walkthrough covers the full journey from your first Lift Platform ride to examining the Master Ball on the rooftop.

Sparkling Skylands Overview
The Sparkling Skylands are what remains of Celadon and Saffron Cities after the ground shot up into the sky. The area consists of multiple floating islands connected by Lift Platforms, with the centerpiece being a ruined skyscraper — the former Silph Co. building — that you must rebuild floor by floor. You can find full details on the area's layout in our Sparkling Skylands area page.
You reach Sparkling Skylands through the northern gate in Bleak Beach. This is the most resource-intensive area in the game, requiring materials from all three previous zones. Vertical exploration and the Glide ability define the gameplay here.
What to Do First at Sparkling Skylands
- Enter from Bleak Beach. Head north through the gate and talk to Professor Tangrowth.
- Ride the first Lift Platform. Step onto the platform of the machine nearby to reach the next island.
- Befriend Rookidee. Talk to Rookidee in front of the lift.
- Restore the PC. Wait for Professor Tangrowth to move to the Pokémon Center, then examine the PC.
- Raise Environment Level to 3. Build habitats and complete requests. This is required before the main questline can progress.
Learning Glide from Dragonite
The Glide ability is the signature mechanic of Sparkling Skylands, letting you soar between floating islands:
- Build the Tree-Shaded Pink Tall Grass habitat to befriend Sprigatito.
- Sprigatito gives a hint for Hydrated Pink Tall Grass. Build it to befriend Froakie.
- Froakie provides the habitat hint for Dragonite: the Waterside Dinghy.
- Build the Waterside Dinghy by placing 1 Canoe and 2 Duckweeds at a high-up location near water. Head east from the Pokémon Center to find a suitable spot. Eat a Plain Salad to power up Leafage and spawn Duckweeds near the Canoe.
- Talk to Dragonite to learn Glide, then practice flying to the next island. Glide consumes PP, so keep your meter full.
Rebuilding the Huge Building
The central quest of Sparkling Skylands is rebuilding the Huge Building (formerly Silph Co.) from the second floor up to the fourth. Each floor requires progressively more materials and Pokémon helpers.
Before You Start — Conkeldurr & Concrete
After learning Glide, fly to the tower island and meet Tinkmaster, who asks for six bricks of Concrete. You need to:
- Build the Construction-Site Generator habitat east of the Pokémon Center using 1 Iron Pipe + 2 Iron Scaffolds (found near the Furnace). Befriend Conkeldurr.
- Craft a Concrete Mixer (2 Iron Ingots) and place it near water. Have Conkeldurr follow you to convert Limestone into Concrete.

Second Floor
Materials: 25 Concrete, 10 Glass, 5 Pokémetal, 10 Iron Ingots, and 6 Pokémon helpers.
- Glass is made by putting Volcanic Ash, Sand, or Sandstone into a Furnace and having a Burn-specialty Pokémon (like Vulpix) light it.
- Pokémetal Fragments can be mined on the floating island east of the building. Befriend Gardevoir to learn the location.
Third Floor
Materials: 25 Concrete, 10 Glass, 10 Glowing Stones, 10 Copper Ingots.
- Copper Ore must be brought from Rocky Ridges caves.
- Glowing Stones are found deep in the Rocky Ridges cave past the train tracks — eat a Hamburger Steak to power up Rock Smash enough to break them.
- Chef Dente is required for this floor. Travel to Rocky Ridges and have him follow you back. If you have houses in both areas, you can fast travel.
Fourth Floor
Materials: 40 Concrete, 15 Glass, 10 Paper, 10 Bricks, 20 Lumber. Requires 15 Pokémon helpers.
- Paper requires building the Professor's Apprentice Program habitat (1 Whiteboard + 1 Jumbled Cords + 1 Table + 1 Laptop). Collect the Whiteboard and Jumbled Cords from the cliff east of the building, and the Laptop from the first floor inside.
- Place the habitat in front of the building entrance and wait for Metang to appear. Metang converts Wastepaper (scattered around the area) into usable Paper.
- Peakychu from Bleak Beach is also needed — travel there and have him follow you back.

Reaching the End Credits
After completing the fourth floor, take the elevator inside the building to the rooftop and examine the Master Ball. This raises your Trainer Rank to Master. Return to the entrance and speak with Professor Tangrowth to complete the important request.
Next, examine the gate on the island east of the building. Remove the blocks in front and open it — this creates a shortcut connecting Sparkling Skylands directly to Withered Wasteland.
To reach the end credits, you must complete all remaining important requests across every area. This includes:
- Rebuilding all Pokémon Centers
- Completing all Team Initiation Challenges
- Raising Environment Level to 5 in each area
Once everything is done, the ending scene and credits play automatically.
Key Materials to Collect
- Limestone: Naturally occurring in the area. Fed into the Concrete Mixer (operated by Conkeldurr) to produce Concrete — the single most-needed material here.
- Iron Ore: Found near the Furnace on the eastern islands. Smelt into Iron Ingots.
- Pokémetal Fragments: Mined on the floating island east of the Huge Building. Required for the second floor.
- Wastepaper: Scattered throughout the area. Have Metang convert it into Paper for the fourth floor.
- Tinkagears: Given by Tinkmaster after delivering Iron Ingots and Concrete. Used to craft Lift Platforms.
Final Tips for Sparkling Skylands
Sparkling Skylands is a cross-zone logistics challenge. You will need materials from Rocky Ridges (Copper Ore, Glowing Stones) and helpers from Bleak Beach (Peakychu, Chef Dente), so plan your trips carefully. Building houses in multiple areas lets you fast travel between them. Glide requires PP, so keep food stocked to restore it. Craft extra Concrete early — the four floors together need over 100 pieces. Glass production requires Volcanic Ash or Sand plus a Burn-specialty Pokémon, so bring one from Rocky Ridges if needed.
